Carrying My Sister’s Memory Forward: A Grief Counselor’s Story
Grief became deeply personal for Tina, our Children & Families Grief Support Coordinator at the Blue Ridge Care Center for Hope and Healing, when she lost her sister Adela In July of 2024.
"Your sibling is there with you all your life, growing up alongside you — your first friend," says Tina. "It’s a very significant loss."
"In my work with my clients, I stress the importance of balancing sorrow with joy, remembrance, and celebration. All of it gets to be present and it doesn’t look the same for everyone."
